TikTok account of Republican’s daughter becomes hot topic in presidential debate

Not only did Nikki come to her daughter‘s defense on stage, but she also emphasized her responsibilities as a mother to protect her child in an interview following the debate.

American lawmakers have long debated the perils of the Chinese video streaming platform. Yet, no one imagined one particular TikTok account, belonging to Republican Haley’s daughter Rena, would steal the spotlight at the political event.
During the presidential debate which was held in Miami, Vivek remarked on his opponent’s daughter being on TikTok.
He said: “In the last debate, she made fun of me for actually joining TikTok while her own daughter was actually using the app for a long time. So you might want to take care of your family first.”
The criticism directed at Haley’s family didn’t sit well with Nikki, so she came to her daughter’s defense by telling Vivek to “leave my daughter out of your voice,” before calling him a “scum.”
Rena was in the audience when Vivek took a swipe at her TikTok; she was later seen greeting her mother on the stage when the event concluded.
A few social media users have noticed that Rena’s TikTok account is nowhere to be found, but it doesn’t confirm she has deleted it.
Somebody on the Internet has managed to get hold of a video that shows her dancing with her husband, Joshua Jackson. As her account is seemingly missing, the only available video has caught everybody’s attention following the debate.
Rena is believed to have graduated from Clemson University in 2021 and is currently working as a pediatric nurse.
She and her husband met while they were attending South Carolina University and tied the knot in April this year, reports The Sun.
