A shocking video that depicted a gang of 15 teens who are said to be black, beating up a 17-year-old Las Vegas student Jonathan Lewis has become viral. The student later succumbed to the injuries caused by the murderous attack. No arrests have been made by the police in the killing of Jonathan Lewis yet.
The student was mercilessly beaten across the street from Rancho High School by 15 black teens on November 1. Lewis became unconscious after the attack and the School personnel performed CPR on Lewis. Later he was rushed to the UMC Hospital in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries on Tuesday. A statement to this effect was released by Lewis’s Father.
Las Vegas Teen Jonathan Lewis confronted a group of teens after they stole something from one of his friends. The group consisting of teens mercilessly beat Lewis before stuffing him in a trash can. An unconscious Lewis was rushed by Medical workers to UMC Hospital in critical condition.
Lewis’s father poured his heart out in a GoFundMe campaign launched by the family and said that his son will be loved always and will remain forever in their hearts and will motivate everyone to bring peace into this world. Investigation by police is still on and efforts are on to identify the perpetrators of this attack.
Detailing the incident, the GoFundMe campaign launched by Lewis’ family said that Lewis had gone to confront a group of boys who had stolen something belonging to his friend when the tragic incident happened.
The family expressed their gratitude to the love and affection shown by the community in their hours of grief. The family further added that the incident will serve as a beacon of hope fill compassion in society and help it abhor violence.
Lewis has a younger sibling who lives with his mother while his father lives in Texas. A grief-stricken Lewis’s father lamented at the violence that killed his son and hoped the perpetrators realized the gravity of their actions and repented.
